Here are the girls composing dramas around their ‘Dragon’ theme. They had great fun in our outdoor creative space and lived using our outdoor stage. Luckily the weather didn’t let them down! 😊

This term our fourth class girls are participating in the Artist in Schools Programme in conjunction with the Arts Council. Through this programme the artist works closely with the teacher to develop a creative project that aligns with the needs of the curriculum.
For this project the children chose the theme of dragons. They will develop it through story writing, drama, puppets, song writing and film. This will help develop their imagination, their individuality of thought and expression, their self confidence, their listening and literacy skills, their creative expression and teamwork. Look at the wonderful dragons they created in response to a creative writing session with Andrew!!!

Many thanks to Tony O’ Shea of Ambri Boards, who has donated this beautiful engraved board for our ‘Student of the Year’ awards. Tony’s niece, Lily, was the inaugural recipient of the award. Thanks Tony. It looks fantastic 😊⭐🏆

Next stop: Poland. Thanks to everyone for their generosity. Hopefully this will give some small comfort to people from Ukraine who are in such desperate circumstances. Táimid ag smaoineamh orthu 🇺🇦

Each class group has been given a habitat to study. All classes will be visiting each of the habitats in the coming months. Junior infants went to the park with Cathy 😊🐞🪲🌳🌱⚘
