6th class did the experiment of inflating a balloon using water, lemon juice and baking soda. The reaction between the lemon juice and the baking soda solution is one that creates a great deal of carbon dioxide gas. As the lemon juice and baking soda react, more and more of the gas is given off. As the gas accumulates, the balloon becomes bigger and bigger.

Each class group has been given a habitat to study. All classes will be visiting each of the habitats in the coming months. Junior infants went to the park with Cathy 😊🐞🪲🌳🌱⚘
